DAY 18: UNITY
Unity or a sense of oneness among believers is one of the most important things in God’s economy. Many times, we mistake unity for the misbelief that we must all think alike, agree on everything, and vote the same way. Fortunately, that is not what God had in mind. Remember, the twelve disciples of Jesus included a tax collector that worked for Rome, and a zealot that opposed Rome, yet there was unity. How? They kept Jesus as the big thing. Other things were small in comparison. They rejoiced in their salvation and worshiped the King together. They prayed, served, and sacrificed together for Him. Unity is the result when Jesus is at the center.
“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are.”
